Ronald Daniel Mascariñas, Bounty Guru Of Poultry Positive, 2020

I, decades-old “Blogger Positive for PH Agriculture,” am calling Ronald Daniel Mascariñas “Poultry Guru Positive, 2020” because he has so much to teach leaders, producers, processors, check-out counters and consumers not only of chicken products. These 7 lessons I see:

One: Leaders, “Arise!”
As President of Bounty Agro-Ventures Inc, Bounty, Mr Mascariñas says, “It is in times of great trials and difficulties that leadership is crucial to survive, rise up, move on, and rebuild.”

Two: Industry, “Innovate.”
“Mascariñas was recognized for leading the poultry industry not only through innovation but through genuine love of country as well.” In 2017, Bounty came up with Zero Antibiotics Chicken, the only one so far. Negative for Poultry Antibiotics – Positive for Human Health.

Three: Company, “Help others.”
Mr Mascariñas says that ‘they are far from finished in leading the poultry industry. “This award is a huge encouragement and an inspiration to keep doing what we can to help others. I am committed to doing what I possibly can to continue leading my colleagues in Bounty and to help in the organizations and institutions we have established or are partnering with to do so.”

Four: Community, “It takes a village.”
Mr Mascariñas says, “There is an old saying that it takes a community to raise a child and that is true of our business.” I say you will succeed in business even if you do not recognize a community at all, but your success will be limited, as experience everywhere shows.

Five: Ecosystem, “Integrate.”
Mr Mascariñas says, “(Bounty) is a community of real people who are, collectively, the true recipients of our latest accolade. Every product we make and every service we offer is the work of many in a highly integrated ecosystem. We have value partners, growers and vets in our broiler farms and hatcheries, coconut and corn planters supplying our feed mills, truckers, and roasters.”

Six: “Sell, sell, resell.”
Mr Mascariñas says, “We also have sales personnel in over 1,700 stalls, making us the biggest chain in the country. On top of this is our multitude of strong and still growing army of resellers, introduced during the pandemic, that is now expanding our already burgeoning trade channels by quantum leaps.

Seven: “Honor your people.”
Mr Mascariñas says, “
At the heart of the complex ensemble of partners and sales outlet personnel and putting of our efforts together is a highly motivated and competent corps of managerial, technical and administrative support staff.” And how come they are “highly motivated?” He motivates them highly with what he does and what Mr Mascariñas says.

He insists that the award belongs to the whole staff of Bounty. “Our work at (Bounty) cannot be done by one man alone. It is the child of our collective effort as a true community – the unity of values, vision, and action.”

He looks at the Bounty village that is the one that has succeeded:

“To the members of the (Bounty) family, you are the true Men and Women of the Year awardees because it takes a community to raise success.”@517
