Virgin Coconut Oil Reinvented: "Goddess of Magic." With MAYA, Filipina Jess Offers A New Personal Care Product – Having Learned From American Steve Jobs, Unparalleled Genius?

I googled but couldn’t find who invented virgin coconut oil (VCO) – but here is young Jessielyn “Jess” Alfuente of Lu-op, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay, Mindanao, reinventing VCO into what she calls “Goddess of Magic.”

And why did I superimpose American genius Steve Jobs on Filipina genius Jessielyn Alfuente’s business image? To point out that we could have more inventions-reinventions if we paid attention to our own genius!

How did Steve Jobs come out with so many digital products that changed the history of knowledge? First, he reinvented the information highway by thinking out the desktop personal computer (PC) and bringing it to life with Steve Wozniak as mechanical genius.

How did Jessielyn Alfuente come out with her single-varied product?
Goddess of Magic Citronella
Goddess of Magic Eucalyptus
Goddess of Magic Lavender
Goddess of Magic Rose Petals
Goddess of Magic Sampaguita.

Not to forget: Jess’ Goddess of Magic received financial assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA) Mentoring and Attracting Youth in Agribusiness (MAYA) program. Agriculture Secretary William Dar says on Facebook (29 Jun 2021) about MAYA:

The MAYA Program does not only entail the hands-on training & mentorship of young people, it gives youth a step up on the ladder of a lifelong career. This program is a continuing process.

I can’t find a webpage presenting details of the MAYA Program; the best I gather from Facebook is each of 2021 Top Ten winner receives P40K to support one’s agribusiness plan.

So girls, today, from MAYA and Goddess of Magic, you can choose your scent!

But how did Jess come up with her Goddess of Magic idea? Creativity!

Now, we go back to the genius of Steve Jobs, and I wonder: “Jessielyn Alfuente comes from remote Lu-op, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay – I am a wide reader but never heard of any of those places!”

Question: How did she think of Goddess of Magic in the first place?
Answer: It appeared like magic.
Question: How did she come up with scented VCO?
Answer: Without knowing it, she followed somebody’s genius, in any of these ways of thinking as Joe McKendrick lists them (06 Oct 2011, “Steve Jobs: Seven Ways He Taught Us To 'Think Different',” ZDNet, Zdnet.com):

1.     Think big.

2.     Follow your instincts.

3.     Adopt unconventional, or even "impractical," perspectives to problems.

4.     Don't be afraid of failure.

5.     Upset the status quo.

6.     Be optimistic about the future.

7.     Keep it personal.

Actually, Steve Jobs has been one of my idols since late 1970s when the personal computer began intruding into the campus of UP Los Baños where I was working.

To summarize Steve Jobs’ genius in 3 words: Follow your instinct. So, at 81+, how have I myself been able to come up with a distinctly different essay everyday since January 2020? A total of 730 essays. Knowing and unknowingly too, I have been following Steve Jobs’ instincts about how to change the world!@517
